Tae Kwon Do

Taekwondo is a dynamic Korean Martial Art and Olympic Sport. It involves your hands and feet to defend yourself. The simplest way to define what TaeKwonDo means is as follows.

Tae = Foot
Kwon = Fist
Do = Way
Click for larger image To be more elaborate, Tae means jumping, kicking or striking with the feet; Kwon is any fist or hand technique; Do is the true spirit and personal development with an understanding of Asian philosophy.

Although learning to use your hands and feet is a part of Taekwondo, an equally important aspect is that of a healthy lifestyle, excercise and stress relief, and the camaraderie of others
- men, women and children of all ages and abilities.


Each person striving to achieve the best they (as individuals) are capable of.

Through Taekwondo training, you will learn the merits of Ettiquette (politeness and courtesy). Modesty (learning to play down our achievements and not brag of our abilities). Perseverance
(an ability to continue through adversity). Self-Control (to understand your own actions and reactions, and control them in any given circumstance). Indomitable Spirit (to remain optimistic about the best in ourselves and others).
